Joshua Montaad - Law Enforcement Fatality - Florida

Joshua Montaad
Officer Joshua Montaad, age 25, of Safety Harbor, Florida, died in the line of duty on June 6, 2017, on U.S. Highway 19, in Taylor County, Florida. 

Officer Montaad was a member of the Florida Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement. 

Taylor County, is about 125 miles east of Jacksonville in northern Florida. 

It has been reported that during the morning hours Joshua was on his way to a job interview for an investigation position which he was aspiring to do in his career. 

It was raining heavily at the time. Joshua lost control of his vehicle and veered off of the road. His vehicle hit a tree and started on fire. Tragically, Joshua died of his injuries at the scene. 

The circumstances of the accident are under investigation. 

Friends describe Joshua as a caring and kind-hearted young man. He was one of the good guys. 

Oceans of tears have been shed for Joshua.

Joshua's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was loved. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Joshua is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

Pray that Joshua is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
