Spc. Tomlin was a member of the 12th Aviation Battalion based at Davison Airfield at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Jeremy was a UH-60 Crew Chief.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m, Jeremy and two other crew members were flying in a helicopter on a routine training mission when it crashed in a wooded area in Leonardtown. The helicopter may have stalled just before it crashed to the ground. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Leonardtown is about 60 miles southeast of Washington, D.C.

The UH-60 Blackhawk is an Army utility helicopter used in air assault, air cavalry and aero-medical evacuation units.

Tragically, Jeremy passed away at the scene of the accident.

The two other crew members were both injured.

Family members describe Jeremy as a good kid who never caused anyone any trouble. Growing up, he loved to hunt and fish and to play video games. He loved flying and he loved helicopters.

Jeremy's military comrades are in mourning over the death of their young brother. He will be forever remembered.

Jeremy's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was just starting out in life. He was greatly loved. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Jeremy is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his mother, his wife and many others.

Thank you for your service to America, Jeremy.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

Pray that Jeremy is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
