Jonathan Gover - a Good Samaritan in Washington State

On Sunday, January 15, 2017, Jonathan Gover was at the food court of the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Washington.

Lynnwood is a city of just under 37,000 and is located 16 miles north of Seattle, Washington. 

Around 2:00 p.m., a confrontation broke out between the employee of a food court restaurant and a disgruntled customer. The customer, a 37 year old male, pulled out a knife and stabbed the restaurant employee in the back. 

Jonathan Gover jumped up and put a choke hold on the attacker. The attacker managed to cut Jonathan on his calf which later required 11 stitches. The attacker then released his knife and was apprehended by the police.  

The Good Samaritan reaches
out to others in times of danger.

The restaurant employee was taken to a local hospital where he is recovering. 

Jonathan is a Navy Veteran and is also a Mixed Martial Arts fighter. 

Jonathan stated: "I was just doing what I think more people in our society should be doing, which is helping others."

Jonathan Gover is a Good Samaritan. 

Good Samaritans are the everyday heroes of the modern era.
