Ronald L. Murray Jr. - U.S. Military Fatality - Kuwait

Ronald Murray Jr. 
Spc. Ronald L. Murray Jr., age 23, of Bowie, Maryland, died on November 10, 2016, in Kuwait.

Specialist Murray was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 1st Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. He worked as a Fire Support Specialist.

Tragically, Ronald died in a motor vehicle accident.  The cause of the accident is under investigation. 

Ronald entered the service in January of 2015 and arrived at Fort Bliss in June of 2015. This was his first overseas deployment.

He was in Kuwait as part of the U.S. Military's battle against the terrorist Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. 

Both of Ronald's parents are military veterans. 

The soldiers of Fort Bliss are in mourning over the death of their young brother. Military officials stated that Ronald was an outstanding soldier and a valued asset to

his comrades. He had an infectious smile and a sense of humor that would brighten a room. He will be forever remembered.

Ronald's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He loved his country and being part of the military. He was just starting out in life. He brought joy and laughter to his family and they are extremely proud of him. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Ronald is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Ronald is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
