Jerry Colyer - a victim of robbery in Chesterfield County, Virginia

Jerry Colyer, age 43, of Richmond, Virginia, died on September 29, 2016, in Chesterfield County, Virginia. 

Jerry was working as a hotel clerk at a Chesterfield County EconoLodge.  At about 11:00 p.m., he was shot during a robbery attempt.

The suspect, a black male wearing a hoodie, entered the building and demanded money from the cash register. Jerry handed over the cash but was shot anyway. The suspect fled on foot with about $200. from the robbery.

others. He was a hard worker who often worked 7 days a week. 

Jerry's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a loving son and a good husband and father. He had a kind spirit. He got along with everyone. He would give you the shirt off of his back. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Jerry is survived by many loving friends and family members including his parents, his wife and his young daughter.

Pray for justice for Jerry. 

Pray for all who go to work and who die there.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Jerry is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
