Justin Beebe - Firefighter Fatality - Nevada

Firefighter Justin Beebe, age 26, died in the line of duty on August 13, 2016, in Nevada.

Firefighter Beebe was with the United States Forest Service. He was a Lolo Inter-agency Hotshot crew member based in Missoula, Montana. He had 1 year of service. 

Justin was engaged in fighting the "Strawberry Fire" at Great Basin National Park in Nevada. The Strawberry Fire is a 4,600-acre fire caused by lightning. 

Around 4:00 p.m., Justin was struck by a dead tree which suddenly fell. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries. 

Justin was from Bellows Falls, Vermont. 

Friends stated that Justin loved the outdoors and loved his firefighting job. He was a hard worker. He had a kind spirit and was a caring man. He was one of the good guys.

Justin's Hotshot crew are in mourning over the death of their young brother. He was an asset to the crew. He will be forever remembered.

Justin's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Justin is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his mother, father and sister. 

Thank you for your service, Justin. 

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Justin is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
