Daniel Fitzpatrick - a victim of Bullying in New York State

Danny Fitzpatrick
Daniel Fitzpatrick, age 13, died on August 11, 2016, at his home on Staten Island, New York.

Danny was a student at Holy Angels Catholic School in Brooklyn, New York. He was in the 7th grade.

Danny took his own life.

He was the victim of relentless bullying by others at his school. He was overwhelmed by it. He didn't see a clear path out of this situation.

Kids followed him from school calling him a baby and trying to provoke him into a fight.

Danny wrote a note before his death in which he stated that the officials at his school didn't do much to protect him from relentless harassment.

Danny's parents spoke to school officials asking for help but were told that everything would be fine and that the bullying would pass. One teacher apparently spoke up about the issue.

Obviously, there was not enough intervention on the part of this School's administration to prevent Danny from being overtaken by his tragic situation.

Daniel's loved ones are devastated over his tragic and unnecessary death. He was a good kid. He did his best. Tragically, his spirit was crushed. He will be forever mourned.

Daniel is survived by many loving friends and family members including his parents and his sisters.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

God save us from those who take joy in tormenting others. They are killing us, Father.

Pray that Daniel is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
