Alfredo Alvarado - a victim of thieves in Paramount, California

Alfredo Alvarado, age 45, died on November 16, 2015, at a liquor store in Paramount, California.

Paramount is a city in Los Angeles County and has a population of just under 55,000. 

At about 4:00 p.m., Alfredo had entered the liquor store.  Two men in the store were observed stealing beer and other goods. When the store clerk tried to get the men to leave, a fight broke out. 

Alfredo then stepped in and attempted to help the store clerk. 

At that moment a third man who was in a car outside of the liquor store, came in to help his friends. This third man shot both Alfredo and the store clerk. 

The three men then fled from the store. 

Tragically, Alfredo died at the scene. 

The store clerk was rushed to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.

Alfredo was planning a trip to Mexico with his wife to renew their wedding vows for their 25th anniversary. 

Alfredo's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a good man who was just trying to help someone in need. He will be forever mourned.

Alfredo is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife and his teenage daughter.

Pray for justice for Alfredo. 

Pray for all who die while coming to the aid of others.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Alfredo is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

Pray for the recovery of the store clerk who was shot during this crime.
