Charne Roberts - a teen victim of bullying in South Africa

Charne Roberts, age 17, died on September 14, 2015, at her home in Tambo Village, South Africa.
Charne Roberts

Tambo Village is a suburb of Cape Town.

Tragically, Charne hung herself in the bathroom of her home. She was found by her mother.

She had been bullied by a group of girls at Silverstream High School in Cape Town.  The girls said that Charne was sleeping around and was a slut. The girls beat Charne up on at least one occasion.

The ambulance that arrived came with no medical equipment inside of it due to robberies and a second ambulance was called. The paramedics with the second ambulance declared Charne deceased.

It has been stated that Charne's mother, Magdalene Roberts went to the school and complained about the bullying behaviour but that nothing was done.

Magdalene also wants to know why the Department of Health sends out ambulances that carry no medical equipment.
