Freddie Gray - a man killed by the Police in Baltimore, Maryland

Freddie Gray
Freddie Gray, age 25, died on April 19, at a hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Freddie was killed during an arrest procedure. He died of cardiac arrest and a broken neck. Sometime during his arrest and transport to the Police Station, he was severely injured and tragically died of those injuries.

Six police officers were involved in Freddie's arrest.

Subsequently, six Baltimore Police officers have been charged with various offences relating to Freddie's death.

Freddie suffered a critical neck injury as a result of restraints placed upon him inside the police department wagon. He was generally manhandled during this entire procedure. Freddie also tried to smash his own head against the sides of the van. Everyone has seen the photos of Freddie being dragged to the police van, seemingly unable to walk.

The police have to be seen to not only enforce the law but to follow it.
Pray for justice
for Freddie Gray

Marilyn Mosby, the state's attorney for Baltimore, has said that Freddie Gray's arrest on April 12 was illegal and his death has been ruled a homicide.

Freddie Gray was no saint. He had a criminal record, mainly on drug possession charges and minor crimes. Freddie Gray had been involved in 20 criminal court cases, five of which were still active at the time of his death.

Regardless of this 25 year old man's history of poor judgement, he did not deserve to be mortally wounded in the back of a van.

Freddie's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.

Freddie is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Pray for justice for Freddie Gray.

Pray that Freddie is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
