Ramon Morris - U.S. Military Fatality - Afghanistan

Ramon Morris
Sgt. 1st Class Ramon S. Morris, age 37, of New York, New York, died in the line of duty on December 12, 2014, in Parwan Province, Afghanistan.

He died of wounds inflicted from an enemy explosive device.

He was assigned to the 3rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Ramon joined the Army in February of 1996. He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, in March of 2012.


Ramon previously served one tour of duty in Korea and three tours in Iraq.  He was deployed to Afghanistan in June of 2014. 

His awards and decorations include a Bronze Star Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, four Army Commendation Medals, six Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medals, Afghan Campaign Medal with campaign star, Iraq Campaign

Ramon's military comrades are in mourning over the death of their brother. He will be forever remembered.

Ramon's family members are devastated by his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.

Ramon is survived by many loving comrades, friends and relatives.

Thank you for serving, Ramon.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Ramon.

Pray that Ramon is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
