The Union County Sheriff's Office is in mourning over the death of their brother. Jeff is described as a friendly man, and a family man who was a valuable member of the Department. He was often the first to check in and the last to leave.  He did his best as an officer. Jeff will be forever remembered.

Friends stated that they are devastated by his death. He was a good man, who loved his family and who tried to do the best that he could on his job.

Jeff Greene started his career with the Sheriff's Office in December of 2004. He became a sergeant in 2006. He was heavily into the sex offender program. He wanted to ensure that the offenders were registered and were accounted for and that they obeyed the law.

Jeff's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a good man who will be forever remembered.

Jeff is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife April, his two daughters - Nicole and Allison; and 5 grandchildren.

Thank you for your service to the community, Jeff.

Pray for all who die my misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Jeff is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
