Christopher Hunter - Firefighter - Cinnaminson, New Jersey

Lieutenant Christopher Hunter, age 38, died on November 15, 2014, at his home in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

Christopher was a member of the Cinnaminson Fire Department.  He had 22 years of service in firefighting. 

The day before, Chris had worked a shift.  In the early morning hours of the next day, he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home. 

He was rushed to a local hospital where sadly he was pronounced deceased. 

Chris had joined the fire department as a junior firefighter when he was 16 years old and in high school. He became a career firefighter in 1998.

He had received a meritorious service award from the 200 Club of Burlington County in 2004 for his role in rescuing an Alzheimer’s patient from a burning apartment in Delran.

Friends describe Chris as a great guy who would give you the shirt off of his back.  

The Cinnaminson Fire Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. Chris will be forever remembered.

Christopher's loved ones are devastated by his sudden death. He will be forever mourned.

Chris is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and two children. 

Thank you for your service to the community, Chris. 

Pray for all who die suddenly.  They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Christopher is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
