Sean Neal - U.S. Military fatality in Iraq

Lance Corporal Sean Neal, age 19, of Riverside, California, died on October 23, 2014, in Baghdad, Iraq, from a non-combat related incident.

The cause of his death is under investigation.

Sean was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command, based at Camp Pendleton, California.

Sean graduated from La Sierra High School in Riverside. He enlisted shortly after graduating in 2013. 

He deployed to the Middle East in September of 2014. 

Friends describe Sean as a good kid, who liked to have fun.  He had a huge smile on his face.  He liked to play video games. He was just starting out in life.

Sean was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for a previous deployment, and had received 15 other awards and ribbons, including the Purple Heart.

Sean's military comrades are in mourning over the loss of their young brother. Sean will be forever remembered.

Sean is survived by many loving comrades, friends and relatives. 

Oceans of tears will be shed for this young man. 

Pray for all who die as teenagers. They barely had a chance to live.

Thank you for serving, Sean. 

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to war in the Middle East.  Sean would not have died there, if there was no war there.  

We are sick with grief for men like Sean.

Pray that Sean is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
