| Donnell Hamilton Jr. |
He passed away from an illness contracted in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. The nature of the illness has not been reported as of this posting.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
He entered active duty service in October of 2012.
He had served in Afghanistan from July of 2013 to March of 2014.
His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense
Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
Donnell's family members are devastated by his tragic death. He will be forever mourned.
Donnell is survived by many loving comrades, friends and relatives.
