Kerry Danyluk - U.S. Military

Kerry Danyluk
Spc. Kerry M. G. Danyluk, age 27, of Cuero, Texas, died on April 15, 2014, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, of injuries sustained on April 12 when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire in Pul-e-Alam, Logar province, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York.

Kerry graduated from Yoakum High School in 2004.  He joined the Army in October of 2010. He trained at Fort Benning in Georgia and was based at the Army post until arriving at Fort Drum in March of 2013. 

This was his second deployment to Afghanistan.  

High School officials remember Kerry as a good student and a team player. He was a hard worker, determined and focused.  He could be relied upon.

Kerry's family are devastated over his tragic death.  He will be forever mourned.

Kerry is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother and father.

Thank you for serving, Kerry.

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Kerry.

Pray that Kerry is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
