Joe Nunez-Rodriguez - U.S. Military

Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunez-Rodriguez, age 29, of Pasadena, Texas, died on May 30, 2013, in Wardak Province, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when his vehicle struck an Improvised Explosive Device.

He was assigned to the 68th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Friends describe Joe as funny, light-hearted and charismatic.

He will be forever missed.

Joe is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Thank you for serving, Joe. 

Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan.  

It is enough.   We are sick with grief for men like Joe.

Pray that Joe is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.

I knew Joe when we were stationed together in Ft. Carson as a part of 360th. He was a great guy and a great NCO. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him and even those who only met him. I salute you my brother and I will miss you.
