Hans Fifer - Law Enfocement - Arkansas

Deputy Sheriff Hans Fifer, age 32, died in the line of duty on April 8, 2013, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Hans was a member of the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office. He had 4 months of service with the Agency. Previously he had served as a reserve deputy with the Agency and also with the Cabot Police Department for five years.

Hans was attending a training session and tryout with the agency's SWAT team at a facility in North Little Rock. He began experiencing shortness of breath during the training and was administered oxygen. Shortly thereafter he began suffering chest pains and collapsed. He was transported to Springhill Baptist Medical Center where sadly he passed away.
Michael, Archangel, Patron Saint
of the Police, pray for
Hans and for those who
have lost him.

Police officials stated that S.W.A.T tryouts are grueling, consisting of running, jumping, climbing hills, crawling, and shooting. It's a high stress situation.

It is believed that Hans may have had an undiagnosed health problem.

Police officials describe Hans as a gentle person with a humble spirit. He was well loved by his peers and many who knew him. The Department is in mourning over the death of their brother.

Hans is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents; and his wife and two young daughters (ages 5 and 3).

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Thank you for serving, Hans.

Pray that Hans is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
