Karl Karlsen, age 52, of Varick, New York, was arrested on November 24, 2012, for the murder of his son, 23 year old, Levi Karlsen, in 2008. 

State prosecutors allege that an insurance policy was taken out on Levi Karlsen, just days before his death, naming his father, Karl Karlsen as the sole beneficiary and not Levi's 2 young daughters. 

State prosecutors allege that Levi was working under a pick-up truck which was on jacks. His father caused the vehicle to fall off the jacks, crushing and killing Levi Karlsen.  Karl then left the home for four hours, came back, called 911 and pretended to be devastated by his son's death.

Authorities also said Saturday they plan to re-examine the 1991 fire that killed Karl Karlsen’s first wife, Christina. Back then, Karlsen told authorities that he rescued his three children – including 5-year-old Levi – from the New Year’s Day blaze in California but could not save his wife.  The circumstances of the fire are suspicious. The children did not seem to be in the house at the time of the fire.  

Karl received $200,000. from his wife's death by fire. 

Karl Karlson supposedly had several vehicle fires also covered by insurance. 

Karl Karlsen formerly worked at Guardian Industries in Geneva, a glass manufacturer where his son was employed until the time of his death.

Karl Karlsen is innocent until proven guilty. However.....

God save us.  We don't need enemies when our mother or father will kill us. 

There are men and women in this world who live by making serial insurance claims. They crash cars, set fires to property, and kill people in order to get the insurance money.

Light his way to Heaven. 

God save us from the psychopaths who murder others for money. Amen.

God save us from the Lost Ones who kill the children of their own body.  Amen. 

What does it profit a man who gains the whole world and loses his own soul? 

Pray for Levi Karlsen who lost his mother in a fire and then lost his own life.  Amen.

Pray that Levi Karlsen is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
