Robert Billings

Sgt. Robert J. Billings, age 30, of Clarksville, Virginia, died on October 13, 2012, in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. 

Robert joined the Army in 2006 and served with the 4th Stryker Brigade in Iraq in 2009 and 2010 before being assigned to the 3rd Stryker Brigade.

Robert is survived by many loving friends and relatives.
