Thomas Cameron - Coast Guard

Lt. J.G. Thomas Cameron, age 24, of Portland, Oregon, died on February 28, 2012, in Alabama.

Thomas was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and was on a training exercise with three other men when their helicopter crashed into Mobile Bay.

Thomas graduated from Cleveland High School in 2005. He graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, in 2009, with a bachelor of science in operations research. While at the Academy he was the captain of the soccer team. 

Friends said he will be remembered for his passion for life and his friendly demeanor. He is also described as humble, intelligent and determined with an ability to relate to a wide range of people. 

Thomas is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, John and Bette Cameron and his brother, Alex. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Thomas Cameron is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
